My Notes
The order of most of these films can actually can change according to my mood. (If I want a lighthearted comedy, Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado about Nothing or It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World can easily jump onto this list, whereas if I want something more thoughtful, Rain Man may fall off and if I want to study craft--as an aspiring screenwriter--The Usual Suspects can make a leap up into the top five easily.) So, the ordering beyond about the top three would probably change if I made the list tomorrow (last time I made a list, I know that The Fellowship of the Ring made the top five, for example). Isn't it interesting how in movies we don't have this insistence that factors other than just personal taste matter more than personal taste in calling something "great."
